OVERVIEW
The Company is currently focused on the Gardner Range and Ware Range projects, approximately 100 to 200 kilometres to the southeast and east of Hall’s Creek with potential for uranium, gold, rare earth elements (REE) and base metals. Exploration for uranium by BHP Exploration in the 1980’s discovered uranium and REE mineralisation at Mt Mansbridge with reported values of up to 980 parts per million (“ppm”) uranium and 7% REE, which were found to be associated with the unconformity between the Gardner Sandstone and underlying Killi Killi Beds.
- In Western Australia, the Gardner Range project is prospective for uranium, rare earth elements, base metals and gold, and includes the significant Mt Mansbridge uranium prospect. BHP Exploration identified mineralization of to 980ppm U and 7% REE at Mt Mansbridge prospect in the 1980s.
- In the Northern Territory, the Ware Range project is prospective for uranium, base metals and gold.
- RadonX anomalies identified at Gardner Range
- Over 500 MMI soil, stream and rock chip samples were collected in 2010 to identify areas for focused exploration in 2011
- Sample results plus a review of geophysical data and aerial photo-geological mapping work highlighted a number of areas warranting follow-up exploration for uranium and rare earth mineralisation. These areas also hold some potential for gold and base metals.
- Exploration in 2011 built on the 2010 results and included a second phase of mobile metal ion and conventional soil geochemical sampling, rock chip sampling, hand held spectrometer surveying and a greater emphasis on geological mapping in order to define hosting stratigraphy and identify potential drilling targets.
- Work program meetings with the Kimberley Land Council and heritage clearance applications were completed and field work commenced in August 2011.
- Drill testing of targets defined from the 2010-2011 results may commence in 2012 subject to further review of sample results, relevant approvals, ground access and drill rig availability.
- AAPA Certifcate recieved for the Ware Range Project and all approvals now received for drilling.
- Drilling of calcrete deposit planned for Ware Range, pending ground access and suitable drill rig.
- To simplify logistics both Ware Range and Gardner Range will be drilled at the same time in 2012, given their proximity to each other.
- The Company continues to hold a single Exploration Licence (E45/2401) for the Telfer Project and in August 2011 it presented a proposed program of work to Western Desert Lands Aboriginal Council (WDLAC). A Heritage Agreement is currently being negotiated by the Company and WDLAC and once the agreement is finalised the licence application can proceed to grant under the Mining Act.
- Experienced management with a track record for making world class discoveries.
